I've just setup a small standalone system with two main incoming numbers and all the extensions on incoming DDI's. The controller is a 3300 MXe with ver 7.1, i have one of the main numbers going to the auto-attendent with an open and closed message. The other main incoming number goes directly on to various extensions as a multiline number, all the extensions are directly incoming DDI's. The customer wanted all extensions to go directly to voicemail when in night mode and both the main numbers to the closed message. I have all this working, however the customer wants the DAY/NIGHT mode to run automatically with day mode on at 8.30 and off at 17.00 and off all day sat and sunday. Easy i thought with the Business open/cosed form, using this only the main number going though the auto-attendent worked according to the time schedule, after much head scratching i worked out the Business open/closed does only switch the auto-attendent from open to closed and the other extensions still required the manual day/night mode switching on/off.
Well what i'm basically asking is if there is a way of automating the day/night mode to this customers schedule.

Read the Help files on the Maintenance Command

Command is
Program service sched day daily 08:30
Program service day on

Program service sched night1 daily 17:00
program service sched night1 on

Program service sched night2 daily 22:00
Program service sched night2 on

Thanks that solves Monday to Friday but the weekend is still an issue, is there no way using this method to put it into night service over the whole weekend?... i'm guessing not.

I think this situation is going to come up quiet alot, do you know if a solution for this is in the pipe line, i can then promise a solution to my customer in the near future.

Do you guys have a contact or method of sending queries like this to Mitel, maybe if they receive a few requests it might be actioned, i can't imagine it would be to difficult to program.

Thanks again

I believe full sheduled Night Service is on the roadmap for 9 or 9.1.

I just setup the night Sched and had the cust manually put it in days in the am that way on Friday the system goes into nights and stays til monday am

Way to go M1TEL!!

That never occurred to me.

I will definitely use that suggestion, Thanks

If you happen to have Enterprise Manager/OpsManager, the Maintenance Task Scheduler is very handy for this sort of thing as well; but I really like the workaround M1TEL suggested.

Thanks M1TEL i think yours is the best workaround with what is available.
