Automate CR8 with VB6. Problems with Formula Fields.

I am using VB6 and CR8.
I make use of the crystl32.ocx component.

It seems that my VB6 code is OK because when asking for a printpreview of a simple report based on an access database and use only grouping of the data the code works as expected. However when I add some formula fields to my report, it doesn't run anymore when I ask for a printpreview. The report works fine when started with CR.

Does anybody knows what the cause of this problem might be?

The OCX hasn't been updated properly since version 6 (there were minor changes in 7).
Use the RDC and you'll get more functionality and proper error messages.
