Hi everyone!
Is it possible to automate backup of an existing database (sql 2000) and send it via ftp to a server. There is ofcourse a connection between the sql and the server. I'm looking for a tool that I can administrate to backup the sql every day and to send the data to a existing server.

Many thanks!

Sure. You can do this by using an appropriate script in the backup command where you include the batabase backup command instead of "save".

The other method is using the "savepnpc" scripting method. You will find examples for both in the NW Administration Guide.

You may also want to consider using the backup built into SQL itself to send a backup of the database straight to the other server.
