Is it possible to run a series of update queries when a database is opened, without any user intervention at all?

I want to run several queries without having to run them all manually and without the "You are about to update xx rows..." etc

As far as running all the queries, you can create a macro to run all the queries and then Turn off Warnings. Just put "set warnings" as the first task and in the properties, put "no" in "warnings on". This will turn off all system messages. Then, as the last task, after all the queries are listed, Set warnings back to yes.

Then you can tell Access to run that macro when it opens the database. There is a way to add instructions in the opening of Access, but I do not know how to do it. I am sure someone here can help me out on this one.

Hope this helps.

The macro is named autoexec. See Access help eg "Carry out an action when my database first opens"

Thanks both for the help. Worked great!
