WHEN I IN MAINFORM TAKE A TEXT-BOTTOM AND KEY IN A CHAR(BUT
DON'T PRESS ANY KEY) AND THE
SUBFORM CAN AUTOFILTER THE RIGHT RECORD JUST LIKE ACCESS'S HELP SYSTEM
HOW CAN I DO

If I read you right, you want to have a text box on the main form which, as you type in characters, will update a subform depending on the characters typed so far?

If so, I think you would have to write code to check the contents of the box after each OnChange event for the text box, i.e. this will be called after each character is typed. Then, in code, requery the subform based on the contents at that stage.

I don't think there is any control that will do this automatically. A combo box will "auto-complete" as you type if an item already exists in the list but I don't think that is what you are looking for. Have fun!)
