autofilling a field based on response to popuplist

I've got a field for price and a field for part number. I have another database with part numbers listed with their prices.

any idea how i can get the first database to automatically fillin the price based on the part number? or even any leads would be great.

Please let me know if I have been unclear in any respect. Thank you!!!

Define a relationship to your PartNumber_plus_Price file using PartNo as the link field.
Local_Price is just a straight lookup.
You can make it a calculation field defined as Relship:rice but this will update your historical stuff when you change prices.
The alternaitve is to define it as straight Number with an auto-enter of Lookup, looking up the price. This has the drawback that, if you make a mistake entering the part number and you change it, you will not get the corrected price without doing a relookup on PartNo.
