Hi all,

I'm trying to insert records into an informix DB with a VB6 program through ODBC connection.
The problem is informix will return an error if i only fill in the fields and not the indexes...The problem is the indexes are build in a way i don't know with bizarre caracters in it and i was wondering if there is not a command or a parameter t oset so when you insert a record, informix takes care of filling these indexes...

Regards,

You mean a SERIAL column ?
If so, simply use a 0 (zero) to fill it.

Hope This Helps, PH.
