I inserted a line of code to open a form in hidden mode in my autoexec. This macro also opens another form (splash screen) which is modal. Now when I restart my application. I get a message that the form cannot be opened and the macro is halted. After I press the halt button to stop the macro, the splash screen remains hung. When I attempt to close it, when it does respond, I get an error message telling me that "This action will reset the current code in break mode" When I select "Yes to halt the execution of the program so that the module window can be closed" I it doesn't go away it just keeps coming back.

I have tried exporting the objects but when I get to about the 5 or 6 object mainly the forms and reports, I get a message stating that there are too many nested transactions. I have been on the Microsoft site for the past 3 days looking for a solution.

Has anyone experienced this before? I have tried "SHIFT" to bypass the autoexec macro but to no avail.

I have removed all the modules from the system using the VB editor but that didn't work as well.

Thanks,
Survane

I use Ctrl-break to halt a module right after the DB opens. Turn off the modal property until you get any other problems debugged. I never set a form to modal until I'm sure everything else is working, because I have had similar problems. Frank
