Go to start>run and in open, type msconfig hit ok or enter.
Click ont he autoexec.bat tab and do what you need to do.
If the Os is win95, find the autoexec.bat file in dos mode and type at the prompt, edit autoexec.bat and edit the line you need
How do you wnat to do it? Edit , batch file, or manually copy.
Batch method would be:
rename autoexec.bat autoexec.old
copy autoexec.old+newline.bat autoexec.bat
Or is this something more complex that I missed in the reading?
All the settings set up with autoexec.bat are running when AE is finished loading. And the file can be manipulated forever without affecting anything until the next boot. Ed Fair

Any advice I give is my best judgement based on my interpretation of the facts you supply. Help increase my knowledge by providing some feedback, good or bad, on any advice I have given.
Note would be better than MSCONFIG for this.
You can do this while the user is connected
as long as he or she do not boot while you are makeing
the changes. And even if they do it will not hurt
anything. I would just copy over the autoexec
to your PC make the change then copy back over.
Make a backup of the autoexec file first.
