Hi All,

I have hopefully a simple question that I'm struggling to find the answer to.

We are about to setup exchange 2007 with outlook anywhere (outlook 2007) and best practice is to setup autodiscover.

I have created a record for autodiscover.domain.com but where should this point to. Is it the external IP that forwards port 443 to our exchange server?

The certificate has a common name of

And has additional san names of

owa.domain.com
autodiscover.domain.com
mail.domain.com
servername.domain.local
192.168.1.10 (internal Ip of exchange server)
X.X.214.38 (external IP which has port 443 forwarded to exchange for OWA)

Hope this makes sense

Many thanks to what is probably a silly question

internally and externally it should point to the IP address assigned to the server holding the Client Access Server role.
