Does anybody have any recommendations on a quality autodial/ring-down phone that are reasonably priced? Bought a couple of $50 ones and they are junk.
Thanks.

Look up Viking Electronics. They make a pretty decent line of products that are reasonably priced.

I've used some Gai-Tronics stuff and am not impressed with how expensive they are and how hard it is to get the stuff.

The last one I bought for a specific purpose - to replace a gaitronics phone in a stanchion - was a talk-a-phone, and I thought their product is pretty good too.

We used to use the viking products but have switched to the talk-a-phone. They are a little more pricey but are equally more reliable than other products we have used

I don't know who you're asking, but I have Siemens/Rolm 9751 w/9006 software. I hook the phone up to a standard Analog port on the system and do not program it for ringdown or hotline. I just dial into the phone per the programming procedure in the instructions and program in the number for the phone to dial automatically when the button is pressed. The phone takes care of everything else. This is assuming you're using one of the aforementioned phones designed for this purpose. Otherwise I just use a standard Cortelco 2554 wall phone and program it for hotline/ringdown to my central operator or the department the phone needs to go to.

stsguy, If you are asking me, we run an NEC 2400 IPX rev21. i generally use the same procedure as donbo01.
