I have a BCM450, they dial "8" to access the valcom unit, then "1" or "2" for the zone they want. When the pickup their handset and dial 8 and the zone it works fine. They want an "autodial" for this. I cannot get the BCM to do this? Can it be done?
BCM 450R1 SU1 through SU7 allows you to assign the value. (Checked several)
BCM 450R1 SU12 doesn't. (Checked two sites) let you assign in the table comes up as N/A.

Is there anyway you can assign the page trunk to a DID?
I have SIP trunking on my BCM50 and I access the Gordon Kapes MZ4 4 zone paging trunk by dialing a DID via a SIP trunk 10 digit number.
First, I set up the Line Redirection feature on Element manager to direct this DID to dial 8, which is the Line Pool Code for the Paging system then 1 for page zone 1. So on any phone I can still dial 81 for paging, but by using the DID I can now assign this directly to an Autodial on the phones.
I set it up as the autodial button programmed as: 312*****52# (I dont want you guys hacking into my paging system, lol) so I basically programmed an external autodial (with the # symbol to send the call immediately because I am using SIP trunks).
Which type of trunks are you using? Analog, Digital or SIP?
One disadvantage though, if someone from the outside gets this number, you will need to put some restrictions in.
I've never used Digital trunks, but I assume you can set up the same as SIP.
Remote access package assigned to DID PRI and defined in Remote Access Package will allow incoming digits defined in Public/Private Network Dial Plan to access system paging port or line pool, either automatically or with DISA.
