I have set an autodial button on key 21 of an MLX10. For some reason, whenever the customer dials out, she gets a LEC message saying she has reached an invalid number, check the number and try again. Yet, she can dial out directly to the number in question (not using the autodial). I've checked and rechecked the entry, and it is the correct number. It is 9-1800-xxx-xxxx. I've tried it both with the 9 and without. It was entered as an outside call. Her ARS restriction is high enough. Does anyone have any ideas why this wouldn't work?

Thanks in advance for any insight!

It should..can you do a print of her extension?? I would try to set it up as a system speed dial and see if the same thing occurs at other extensions. The only thing I have in question is that button 21 doesn't exist on a mlx-10d. That would be in the personal speed dial range. It would be feature 14 i think. You are using *2191800xxx-xxxx?? Good luck.

Actually, all sets on a Legend/Magix/Merlin 2 are 34 Button Sets.

It started with the 206 Merlin, when they had 34 Button sets and 10 Button sets, and continued through the latest design.

That being said, here is how it is.

A 10 Button set has REAL BUTTONS 1 thru 10, and VIRTUAL BUTTONS #01 to #24. (10 + 24 = 34)

Imagine if you will a 34 button set, but you can only see the first 10. #01 is, in reality, the 34th button, and #24 is the 11th button. (You have to draw it out, after looking at an old 34 Button ATL Set).

If you look under the tray of an MLX set, it talks about the 24 Buttons available for Speed Dial.

Not to mention, if you "PRINT" an extension, even a SINGLE LINE Extension, you will see that the SYSTEM thinks it has 34 Buttons.

However, the problem with this set probably is that they are not accessing the correct facility to dial out with.

Where is their IDLE LINE SELECT? - A N D - what happens when they dial 9, in an IDLE State?

Thanks both for your advice. It turns out that autodial had to be programmed on one of the "real" keys, not on button 21.
