Okay, I have several cells that all use the same validation that pulls the data from a defined name. My question is, how do I set it up so that if the user doesn't use the drop down box and instead just starts typing the entry, can I make excel autocomplete the entry??????? Thanks for the help!

Autocomplete a cell entry that uses Validation

I have found Autocomplete to work inconsistantly.
Especially if there are gaps in the records.
Best and only advice I can give is turn on error checking for validation cell.

Yea..... I tried sorting the list in excel thinking it had to be in order to resolve what the user was typing but that didn't do it. I also made sure there were no blanks in the list. Seems dumb that Microsoft would implement validation and not allow it to autocomplete the entry...
