I have shared drives \\.\Tape0 to \\.\Tape17.
I have the following problem:
e.g. \\.\Tape0 is shared to 4 StorageNodes and cleaning is
required, the cleaning required flag is set in all shared
ressources of Tape0.
Now rd=client01:\\.\Tape0 requires cleaning
the cleaning tape is loaded and the cleaning is successfull and the cleaning required flag is set to NO
BUT: in the deviceressource \\.\Tape0 and
rd=clientXX:\\.\Tape0 under the TAB operations the cleaning required flag is YES if the next client access this drive NetWorker reads the cleaning required flag and do another cleaning in this drive is done if necessarily or not.

Any Idea why

Thanks in advance

If you have a library, disable networker cleaning. The library will do it or migrate to NW7. The cleaning is changed in the new version

jukebox hardware initiated cleaning should not be enabled. This can cause backups to be corrupted.

Let's say that backups are running, and a tape indicates it needs a cleaning. With j/b initiated cleaning, it will try to remove the data tape and stick in the cleaning tape.

However, while that's happening, NetWorker has no clue what the j/b is doing and merrilly sends data to be written to the tape. The results: i/o errors, data loss, backup retries, etc...

Sorry, this doesn't answer the original question...
