Hello helpful people out there.

I've got a program called WoodWop that allows me to export DXF's from AutoCAD to it. I've done it a couple of times, but those couple of times that it worked it had been exported from another program called CabinetVision, then to AutoCAD, and then on to WoodWop. For some reason if I make my own drawing in AutoCAD and then try and export it to WoodWop it doesn't work. All the layer names that I use are the same as when I export it from CabinetVision.

I don't know if my layer names that are not working right and that is causing the problems or exactly what it is. I would surely appreciate it if there are any WoodWop/AutoCAD users out there that could help me out with my problem (or lack of knowledge). Thanks!!!

What version of Autocad are you using? And to what version of DXF are you exporting it out to?

Just my first thought on this is to export it out to the oldest version of a dxf file (i.e. R12/LT2 dxf) or check the website of WoodWop (no idea what that is, so I can't help you there). But, It may have a problem with the version of the DXF you are trying to import.

I'm sorry...I am using AutoCAD 2000. I guess I'm exporting it to version 2000 dxf.

I'm not sure why it isn't working though. Cause I export it from Cabinet Vision to AutoCad and then to Woodwop just fine...but when I start it in AutoCAD and export it to WoodWop it doesn't work. It just gives me panel errors. I use the same layer names as Cabinet Vision did.

Any more help???

Thanks for such a quick response also!! I appreciate it.

I would try to export to a earlier version of dxf, perhaps that is what cabinet vision is doing. Woodwop may not be able to handle 2000 dxf versions..
