I use AutoCad 98 light mostly, but this happens in all versions even up to ACAD2000. I use the "group" command a lot to make Electrical layouts easier to work with. When I have a drawing that has a lot of these "Groups", and I go to trim or extend or window around an object the program freezes for a period of time. Sometime I have to "End Task" to get out and free up the memory. I have noticed that if I zoom in and leave all the other details off screen, this does not occur. My trim, extend etc work ok. I have 256MB of RAM in all three computers I have Win 98, WinNT, and Win2000 as operating systems.
Am I doing something wrong? Or do I just have to remember to zoom in before clicking on an object so it doen't freeze on me?
Thanks in advance
