Autocad Move and Copy command problem

I have a problem with Autocad 2002. At random intervals I lose the ability to see the ghosted preview of an object I am moving or copying. Please note I do not mean when I am selecting which object to move or copy. I mean after this has been done, and I pick a base point to move from I do not get the ghosted preview of the previously selected objects.

Please note I have checked and my Highlight command is set to (1) and seems to have no bareing on the above problem.

Any help is appreciated.

Check your dragmode setting, it should be set to "Auto" or 2.
