Morning

I have a user running a fully service packed version of AutoCAD LT 2000 on a fully service packed Windows XP Pro, and when printing to an HP DesignJet 800PS plotter he keeps getting an "Internet Explorer Script Error". All the other detail lines (code, URL etc.) are blank.
Restarting the PC a few times generally fixes the problem, but you have to do this for every print, which isn't ideal.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

I'm afraid there may be some bad news here, AutoCAD 2000 products were not supported on Windows 2000, and may even have more trouble on Windows XP.

A couple of things to try if you haven't already:

1. Make sure all Internet Explorer Service Packs are installed.

2. Make sure the plotter has all the latest and greatest service packs installed.

3. If the plotter is a system printer, try removing it as one, and vice-versa if it's not a system printer.

Sorry if that's not any help - good luck!

Todd

IE errors are generally relegated to two apps in AutoCAD. AutoCAD Today (which I am not sure if 2000LT had) and the help system. Like Todd said make sure your IE updates are up to date.

Double check to make sure you have all of the AutoCAD service packs. I had a simalar problem with AutoCAD 2000 and any HP printer on Windows XP. I downloaded a service pack from AutoDesk and it fixed the problem.

Thanks for replying each..

I've already checked these things, what seems to have worked is taking the user off the post script drive and onto a PCL, but I won't be sure thats worked until i've left it for a few weeks as it can go for long stretches of time before happening again.
