Autocad Crosshairs Leave trail

Any help fixing this problem would be Great! the crosshairs leave a never ending trail accross the whole screen. So do tools such as polyline and circle. The only way to remove them is to "refresh" the screen by swithching to a different window and back to autocad. I am using 2002 and yes I have reinstalled it. Thank you in advance!

Graphic card issue. Download the latest driver from the vendor. Also, if you have AutoCAD set to use hardware acceleration, switch it back to software and see what happens.

This also happens whenever you are running out of memory. Clean your temp files and up your virtual memory and reboot. This is a temporary fix, you may need to up your ram.
