I am interested in any tips to increase the size of the OLE object that AutoCAD 2002 will allow to be pasted in a drawing. I am keeping the link to the parent application so that editing can happen there, and not pasting as AutoCAD entities.
While this is not a solution, it is a snippet of some info from Autodesk concerning OLE objects.
Issue
There are limitations to using OLE objects in the program.
Solution
When working with OLE objects it is useful to keep the following points in mind.
OLE objects are not displayed or plotted if they are within an inserted block, inserted drawing, or an externally referenced drawing.
When OLE objects are present in a drawing, the Windows system printer driver does not respond to drawing rotation changes made in the Plot dialog box. If you want to rotate a plot, you must make the change in the Windows system printer settings for portrait or landscape orientation.
Spreadsheets created in Microsoft® Excel software that are pasted into the drawing use only the Picture (metafile) format. If a spreadsheet is too large, only part of it is pasted into the drawing.
