I am using Auto Cad 2000. For some reason my undo command will only undo zoom commands. If I draw several lines and zoom a couple of times then hit undo, it will say it is undoing each command including lines, but the lines are still there. Same for erase, trim, extend, etc. I tried changing settings in the undo command, but no luck. HELP!

Hi Traci,

You said you changed some settings in the Undo command so I'm assuming you set the "control" option to "all?"

Just out of curiosity, what happens if you type "regenall" at the command line after all of your undos? I'm wondering if you just have a refresh/Video card issue.

Yes I did make sure the "control" was set to "all". I did also try the regen all command. The control line says that it is undoing the line command, but the lines are still there. I also have AutoCad R14 on the same computer and have no problems like this. Do you have any other suggestions? Thanks for your reply.

Hi Traci,

AutoCAD 2000 doesn't coexist well with AutoCAD 14. It doesn't like to share dlls, this could very well be your problem.

I do think there is a work around for this but I don't recall what it was. It seems to me the fix for this was to reinstall AutoCAD 2000, and then reinstall it to a different directory than the one it defaults.

You might check Autodesk's knowledge base for this one.
