Hi,
Every time I try to plot a specific drawing I get 'Memory Allocation error'. Hitting 'OK' or'Cancel' simply brings the error message back, so I have to force app closedown thru task manager. I'm using ACAD2000 full & W2K Pro (SP1), printing to an Epson Stylus 1200 using USB (unable to use parallel port). This was a clean install and I am using the latest W2K drivers for this printer. I have configured ACAD to use the Windows System printer too. If I create a simple drawing and then go into Print Setup to select this printer, the application comes up with the 'Memory Allocation error' once and then returns the message 'This plotter configuration cannot be used. Either the driver cannot be found, or the driver has a problem. The None plot device has been substituted'. Going into 'Add A Plotter Wizard' and selecting this printer results in the 31 character warning and then gives a 'Runtime error. Program: C:\Program Files\ACAD2000\addplwiz.exe. abnormal program termination' error message. It then exits. Does anyone know how I can overcome this problem and plot drawings?

Regards

I would check and see if they have updated drivers on their website.

Thanks, the AutoDesk Plotter Update patch has allowed me to plot using the Windows system printer. However, all operations are extremely slow within the printer environment. Page setup takes about 20 seconds to appear on a 2D drawing of about 462KB. A plot of the drawing has taken about 3 mins on A4 paper (model space) Do you have any suggestions?

Hi Guys,
This is my first question so I hope I make it clear enough.
I have just installed a new HP LaserJet 2200 onto my new computer which is running windows 2000 and autocad 2000. In 'word' I can print to the printer without any problem, but when I try and print a part of an autocad drawing I get a "memory allocation error" message. When I accept this I get a "This plotter configeration cannot be used. Either the driver cannot be found, the device cannot be found, or the driver has a problem". Printing from autocad to an old Canon bubble jet works fine but not to a new HP.
Can anyone help

Okay, I too am having these memory allocation problems, pretty much same setup as these other people, now , my question is this:
I have a classroom of 25 computers that this is running on, all duplicate machines, and only 3 of them have this problem.....I know, i know, get the patch, it just puzzle's me that only 3 machines have this problem, what is the problem, and how does the patch fix it ? It just seems strange to me to only have 3 out of 25 machines have this problem.....thanks
