HI.

I'm not a designer, just an IT support person, so please execuse me if I don't know to provide the needed details and tell me what is missing.

In AutoCAD R14, one of our designers is working on a 2D map.
In the map there are dimensions which are in Model space.
The printout is in Paper space and the model is rotated in it about 180 degrees (not exactly).

The problem is that the dimension text is rotated also in the printout.

The question is how to format the dimensions text to appear upside down in Model space but in the right direction in paper space.

More info:
The "normal" text labels (not the dimensions) are rotated as needed (for example 127 degrees) so they printout correctly in the paper space.

Please tell me if I need to write more details.

Thanks for any tips

Hi,
The paperspace view is just a "snapshot" of what is in modelspace. To have a different dimension style in paperspace is accomplished by a couple ways. You can create the "other dimension style" in modelspace on a unique layer. Then turn off the "normal" dimension layer in paperspace and turn on the "unique" dimension layer in paperspace. You can also draw a dimension in paperspace that cannot be seen in modelspace, but the dimension will not be associated to any entity in modelspace. These issues are a little different beginning with AutoCAD 2000 by the way. I hope this helps.
