Outlook's AutoArchive Creates Empty PSTs. Why, I do not know... The version is Outlook 2003. The PST is empty, except a 'Deleted Items' subfolder within it. The settings on the user's computer are:
X Run AutoArchive every 14 days
X Prompt before AutoArchive runs

During AutoArchive:
X Delete expired items (e-mail folders only)
X Archive or delete old items
X Show archive folder in folder list

Default folder settings for archiving
Clean out items older than 6 months
Move old items to:
U:\SHARONS\OUTLOOK\2006Archive.pst

Any ideas???

Also, the 2006Archive.pst is 8,397,824 bytes.

PRETTY BIG FOR AN EMPTY PST!!!

Definitely W-E-I-R-D.....

1/
Check that folders are set to use default archiving settings - right-click the Inbox for example, click properties and look at the AutoArchive tab.

2/
Do an Advanced Find and find all items that have a
Modified on or before '23/08/2005' (6months ago)

That'll check what should be archived so you can see that something is actually being archived.
