Auto update service?

We have a distributed application that is written with ASP. Can we write a routine or service that will go out to an ftp site at regular intervals and automatically download any updated pages? We have an installation base that spans the state, and this would make our lives so much easier.

Are you using any other programming languages for the application? I have used visual foxpro to automatically update files from an ftp site before.

How are you ensuring that the installation is successful at the moment, given the precise nature of the required spec for an asp application (being nosey)? Derren
