I have problem with auto attendent...When an outside caller dials an extension number...the auto attendent transfers back to operator at ext.10.The call never rings at dialed station! This trouble is on about 3 sta,s.......anybody have any ideas or suggestions ? ? ? ? ?

Hi msdesmond,
Have you tried to duplicate the fault yourself? I find that sometimes, if the number is punched in too fast (especially on a low level or noisy line) the system cannot decode the digits. This is common on cell phones. Try to call in and enter the numbers quickley, then do it slowly. Since the system transfers calls correctly sometimes, the system is okay. If the system truely will not transfer to a couple extensions, reset the system.

If it is not isolated to specific stations, but rather cyclical in nature, you may have a bad touch tone receiver. The A.A. cannot "hear" the digits dialed and timeouts to the operator (ext. 10)

Or, if the extensions affected are in the came range (all in the 20's say), perhaps the selector code for their first digit is not set for direct extension dial.
