Auto Save in InDsn?

I've been using InD for over a year, the "autosave" has always worked..UNTIL...
PRESS DAY...the last page InD crashed & lost a day's worth of work. MacOSX..CS2...G5,,,also at the same time, all of our files lost all links, we have to go in and manually update all the links now...on all 3 of my machines that are networked to a "server" file cabinet... DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEAS on WHat happened..MORE IMPORTANT..how can I fix it before my next print day?...PLEASE ...I would apprecaite ANY helpful response..Thnx

which version on which platform ??

maybe you were useing some external tool ?? like plug-in ??
