Auto routing mails from lotus notes 5

I have problem in creating a private agent that let me copy/move mails from the default inbox to the specified folder based on the e-mail ID. I did create a private agent based on the event. SOmehow it is not working, can someone please look into this and suggest me if I am doing anything wrong.

Following are the steps that are followed.

1. From the database Icon, I could go to the list of the agents using the option “go to agents”.
2.On clicking the new agent, Agent box is displayed
3.
I gave the name of the agent
I selected the private option
Selected the Run in background action
Trigger is: On event
Selected :After new mail has arrived
Target becomes: Newly received Mail documents

Then I got the editor,
selected the Document selection option and added the condition By author selected couple of authors(email-id's)

Then selected the action and hit on the add action button
Action was to copy the mails to a separate folder

5.Then closed and opened the notes and sent a mail to myself and found that it didn’t work. This mails should have been copied to the new folder but unfortunately not happened

I do have screen captures of each step, if required I can send them too.. Please let me know if you can help me..
