Will a Merlin Legend R6 V11 automatically restore programming from the PCMCIA card after a power outage?

If the power outtage is short lived - the processor will have retained all programming - so there is no need to restore from the backup card. Restoring from the backup card has to be done manually - it is not automatic. However, the processor should retain programming for quite a while if the storage capacitors are in good shape - as long as a week or more.

The storage capacity is supposed to be 4 days.

However, good batteries/capacitors can hold their memory much longer.

But when they go bad, they loose their memory in a very short time.

I have one client with an older Legend, WITH NO BACKUP CARD, and every few months I have to restore their translations remotely due to a brief power outage.

Not good!

I had one on the shelf that retained its memory for months, but it did not have much in memory, if that is a factor.
