Hi,

I have seen the answer to this somewhere but I can't find it!!! :(

Anyway, I have loads of reports that all have the same header displaying the company name. The company name is changing and so I have to revisit these reports to reflect that change.

In vba code, is there something I can do that says if there is a control called txtHeader on any report or form being run, then txtHeader = "New Company Name"?

Many thanks, as always for any help or pointers in the right direction!

No, but it does provide a nice argument for having ALL information in a dataset. Almost everyome easily undestands the need to have customers and suppliers in the DAATABASE, but it is suprising how often the company is just left out and direct/literal text is use for headers/footer/logos.

I suspect that you will either have to do it manually or write and extensive VB routime to open each object (reports only?) and examine the controls for the string and, when it is found, replacing it. Hopwfully, hte leadin paragraph will at least cause you to consider building a table to include all of the company information and use that as the source.

You may also find that new information does not fit the old layout and thus still need to make manual adjustments.
