Good afternoon!

I apologize if this has been asked and answered previously; the Search functionality is still down.

We have set up a mailbox named customercare. We want all mail to customercare to receive an autoreply.

We created an Outlook template and stored it in a folder on the Exchange server.

We created a rule which says the following:
Apply this rule after the message arrives
sent to customercare
reply using \\Endeavor\customercare\customer care autoreply.oft

I don't see anything client-based in this rule, but Outlook saves it as client-only.

I see that there is a CleanSweep tool available on MSDN, which makes me think that there is a problem with rules. Do I need that?

Any war stories, references, resources would be greatly appreciated.

Kathryn

OK the rule is client-only because of "reply using template". Is there a work-around???

This sounds so simple, and other people are doing this.

What am I missing??

Kathryn

No workaround. I ran into the same thing. It's a bug with the rules. Only alternative would be to put the rule directly on the Exchange server.

wow, i should really check the date on posts before i reply. sorry guys
