Auto play not working!!

Hello everyone and a late Happy New year to all.
I have a small problem.when i insert a cd in the drive it used to automatically come up on the screen to play it or install it.now i have to go to my computer and click on
D drive and pick out the install or play.I right clicked and went to properties and enabled it to start but it still wont!there must be another setting. i checked device manager and nothing in the properties ther on the D dive
where do i have to go to enable auto insertion notification on xp.thank you in advance.

Let TweakUi from Microsoft handle the chore, as there are Services consideration, and registry setttings involved.
