Newbie here...

I have three incoming lines and multiple stations. Three of the stations are in a hunt group that rings when someone selects a particular number from the calling tree. If no one answers the call after 5 rings, it dumps into a general mailbox. What I'm thinking (if it is capable) is wanting to park calls on hold that come in via the hunt group and keep them holding until it can answered....

Can this be done with this setup?

That is the CALL/CONTACT CENTER It will also give greetings/Please hold for the next avaliable agent.
That will keep the caller on hold untill someone is avaliable. Need Keycode to activate in the Call Pilot.

But I don't have CallPilot. Not sure what you mean here, as I am a newbie.

in basic terms ,with the equipment you have

no it will not work

you would need to upgrade the voicemail system to a call pilot
with call center

the draw back of the call center is the people (agent s) will need to log in to get calls and log out after work
and if they don't answer calls the system automatically logs them out so if not checked you can lose calls to limbo

Forgive me but if mulitple stations cant handle 3 little lines then thats funny!!!.

What you could do is invest in an Interailia :

The idea is it intercepts the lines before the phone system, plays a custom greeting to the caller yet rings to a phone in the background until answered.

Actually, only one person of the multiples answers the main line... It is a clinic and everyone else sees patients or has management duties.

then you would need a call sequencer like the Interailia
as curly suggested
