first assign a call routing destination under call reroute always. don't use 'index' 1 use something else that's free.
Then choose the condition of the reroute e.g DID, internal etc. In your case I think you'll just do all of them
then go to rerouting assignment form and select the DN's you want to route for. assign the night 1 or night 2 with the 'index' number you chose in the previous step accordingly.
Got that all sorted thanks, but is there anyway to specifiy the schedule to apply to weekdays only? ie mon-fri 10am-8pm Day service, all other times Night service 1?
NuPoint can do this very easily. The Call Director feature can be used to setup very specific scheduling of how incoming calls are handled. I know this may be a cost option for you if you are using embedded VM but I believe Mitel are doing specials to get people to migrate to NuPoint.
Full credit to M1TEL for this solution to your night service scheduling issue.
You simply set the system to go into Night when you want. Do not use the schedule for returning to day service. The users are responsible for returning the system to day service when they open for business.
This takes care of weekend and holidays as the system will remain in night service.
