Aloha 6.7 Tableservice
Lunch Counter for lunch
Fine Dining for Dinner
Lunch runs with auto ordering turned on
Dinner runs with it turned off so servers can send stuff to kitchen as they wish.
A manager has to manually toggle off auto ordering via the FOH system functions screen. There is no Event for this. (you won't see this toggle button unless you setup properly in maintenance, store settings, order entry)
I know that auto ordering is turned off by changing a word from true to false in Aloha.ini and I have a VBS script to do that but other than rebooting the terminals, I know of no way to make the FOH implement the action of switching off auto ordering even with the proper mojo in aloha.ini
time for a little known flag file.... right??
Possibly using the stop file in tmp folder then deleting it would make this happen but then I would have to muck around with the autoexit environment variable to keep the FOH from restarting and I could see that going wrong sometime so would like to avoid playing with that
Does anyone know a way to make aloha FOH reread aloha.ini and act on it's settings
It seams that it might be as simple as running some other aloha event but I don't know what
OR
is there some way to auto schedule this that I have missed?
