Whilst ranting is generally a topic of distaste, I can't help it!

"AuyoNumber"ing records in reporting is an UGLY habit. Reports, reporting and database work and workproduct should avoid generation of useless information. Providing a "Line Number" falls squarely into this category, The "values" are completly meaningless, take up space better devoted to useful information, and can create problems with the data consumers. There are uses for 'pretty print' items on reports, such as readily identifying the type of report, the intended audience, the data source(s) of the information presented. "Line Numbers" are in my opinion NOT included.
