I'm using standard Avery label template in WORD to create equipment ID labels. I would like to auto sequence the numbering in each label. ie ID0001, ID0002, etc. The equipment id will always be six characters (first two "ID") with the last four being numeric. Can someone help me out or possibly point me in the right direction.
Thanks in advance.

Joe,
I'd love to help, but don't know WORD well enough. The best I can come up with is to produce the numbering in EXCEL and copy the range into WORD. This will look like a table one column wide by however many rows you use. Maybe you can play with the font/cell layout in the table to fit the labels?

Anyway, here's the code. Put it in cell A1 and copy down.
Code:
="ID"&TEXT(ROW(),"0000")
Hope it helps.

Tony
