Event Manager is the way to do this. Event Manager can email yuor user(s) when a bar code read fails.

Just for understanding.. I am interested in the bcheader and bcdetail file for bar coding.. It is not the direct result of a failed scan but could be the result of a succesful scan with incorrect bin quantities on file in the bin master or the other reasons macola will screen out a succesfull scan from further processing..
If you can identify an unsuccesful scan logically, then Event Manager can email you about it. Unsussecful scans get written to the BCPEXHDR, BCPEXDTL and BCPEXREL tables, so it should be pretty easy to email you based on the insert of new records into these tables.
