Auto Loggin

IS there any way to loggon automaticly in GreatPlains
clic on a Icon And the only thing left to fill is the password?

You can create a bat file to login to Great Plains. Paste this into a text file:

"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Business Solutions\Great Plains\Dynamics.exe" "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Business Solutions\Great Plains\Dynamics.set"

Rename the file LaunchGP.bat

If you double click this, it will launch GP.

Next at the login screen, click Alt-F8 (start recording a macro), save the file into the same location as GP), enter your User ID etc., click Alt-F8 when you want to stop recording. Add the line for running the macro file, after the launch of GP into the bat file.

You can also look at third party tools like Omni Login from

http://www.winthropdc.com.

I wrote this tool before I became a MS employee.

Omni Login can complete all steps of the login process for both user and company. Automating the password is optional.
