I have an excel sheet that I am trying to link to my access database. The excel sheet is information that is scanned from another department. 99% of the time, the information in the excel sheet is numbers. The problem comes up when the excel cell is a word (Non-Number). In my access database, whatever I do, I can’t get the cell to read as text and not as a number. I need that cell to stay text even if all of the cells are numbers.

I hoped I explained it correctly. Thanks in advance.

Sort your worksheet in such a way that the Text value is found in the first row before linking it...

Good luck

You could probably use the Cstr function conditionally in a query to deal with this.
