Auto Line Select Help

I'm brand new to the IP Office and am working on an IP 500.
Trying to setup auto line select so the users pick line 7 first, then descending down to 1. It's defaulted to the intercom no matter what I do.
I've read the docs, looked at the menus and searched tek-tips but can't find anything.
Can anyone help me ?

There is no line selection on the IPO. it defaults to the call appearances.

You may still be crazy. Just because IPO doesn't have auto line selection, that doesn't necessarily make you sane!

You can try line appaerances
But then you need to give every trunk (analog) a different line id for outgoing

Certainly not sane but certainly not crazy ;-)

I'll just train the users to press a line button or dial 9.
I'm replacing a Merlin II ( yes, a Merlin II not even a Legend ) and they have been using key features for so long I was trying to minimize disruption but I'll sell it to them as an "enhancement".

You can use ARS to do this!!
