Hi,
I have a client that is setup to backup using Symantec Backup Exec 11d. The backup job is configured to auto eject the tape upon job completion so they just have to change tapes as they are not exceptionally computer literate.
The problem occures when they miss a day, which causes the job to sit there waiting for a tape to be inserted. Then when they come in the next day and change the tape, it immediately begins the job and ejects the tape upon completion causing the next nights job to fail due to the same condition. This process continues until i make it on site or remotely cancel the job.
Is it possible to have Backup Exec automatically cancel the job if media is not found after say 30 min?
Thanks..
