Auto Intercom Light does not come on

Hi, the auto intercom light does not come on when that extension is busy. I have looked throught the manuals, and I can't find anything. I have a Merlin 820D2 system. Thanks for any help.

Does the light work when you throw the switch to the TEST position?

Perhaps too obvious, but are you sure you have a button with lights? Some of the Merlin classic phones, such as the 34B, do not have lights on all buttons.

Thanks for the help. After I posted this, I did notice that I have a SP-34D (no lights on extra buttons). I was also having the problem with programming a bis10 phone. The problem I had was I had not programmed the correct number of lines in. Once I programmed the correct number of lines, then I could program the other buttons.
