I would like to insert the file name in my adobe 5.0 doc. Actually, I have 120 documents and I'd like to insert it either in the header or footer area of them all. How do I do this?

Thanks.

I know your message is a year old, but I can't believe this option isn't available in even Acrobat 7 pro (from what I can tell). Since you never got a response, I'll assume that either no one knows or cares... if you DID hear anything or discover anything, would sure like to know. -Thanks

No response. To refine - I want to add it post-creation, not at the time of creation.

I was not a member a year ago, and I am not a GURU of Acrobat, but I used the help feature in Acrobat 7 with the search term of Header Footer and found that you go to Document > Add Headers & Footers

I tooled around with it and it seems to work pretty well.

HTH :)

Of course I do not know if that would help with Acrobat 5 - it may not have that feature. :)

Sure, getting to the "add headers and footers" is easy, but have they added the functionality of being able to add, say, the filename of the PDF file? -Thanks
