Auto generate email? 1

I've created a web site which is essentially a messaging board...and I'm capturing the information in an access database. When a user enters a message, this results in a record being inserted in MS Access. Is there a way that I can set up Access so that everytime a new record is created, it automatically emails me to notify that a record has been inserted?

I don't know about setting Access up to do it (you may very well be able to -- and I'm sure if it can be done, someone here will know how), but you can go to

to get a pretty nice asp component that is easy to set up to have it do that...

the advantage the aspemail has over the supplied CDONTS asp component is that you can specify the smtp server you wish to use -- whereas with cdonts, you can't --
