I am trying to produce a slide show effect on the site I am building. I want to a new page to be loaded after several seconds.

I do not want to use powerpoint. I am not a programmer.

Please Help ASAP.

To elaborate:

Using FP 2002; I’m a GUI man, not HTML; not a programmer….I am trying to create a slide show effect. How do I have a new page load after a given number of seconds?

Here is what I was trying to do and where I got stuck:

I created a page that has a desired transition effect “on load.” In other words, when I open it all by itself, I get the effect I want.

I then made that page one of the frame pages within a frame. But when that frame loads, I no longer get the transition effect; the page just pops up in the frame.
However, if I use a hyperlink to open that page in a targeted frame, I get the desired effect.

I don’t want the user to have to click to see the page load in the snazzy way, I just want the page to load automatically, with the desired transition effects.

Any suggestions?

Put this on each page:
<HEAD>
<meta http-equiv=&quot;refresh&quot; content=&quot;5;URL=/nextPage.htm&quot;>
</HEAD>
The 5 equals number of seconds before moving on. The URL is simply the url to the next page.

Good Luck sounds like fun! DeZiner

This is how I posted it, but when I run I get a &quot;Page Cannot be forwarded.

&quot;Page_2.htm is a valid page name.

<meta http-equiv=&quot;refresh&quot; content=&quot;5;URL=/Page_2.htm&quot;>

Where did I go wrong?

Remove the forward slash if the page is in the same directory. DeZiner
