Hi guys,
We have a hp ultron 460 backup drive backing up a linux system using a tape(s) a day on a 4 weekly (manual) rotation. Recently some of the times fail to format and therefore the job fails. If format the tapes in another backup device, they will then be fine for a while. There is no pattern to this. how do we or can we turn off the auto format ?
we name our tapes linuxT1WK1 etc but then the back job formats the tapes they are renamed to "*". Now I assume we would need to create a media pool to retain the naming scheme of the tapes. Sorry all too new to arc serve.
thanks in advance
Alan
