Using Excel 2007.
Saving File as Excel 2003.

I have a spreadsheet that when a field is entered, the data in another field is populated from data linked to the spreadsheet.

The field where the data is has the wrap text enabled but the row height does not adjust for the wrapped text when the user (using Excel 2003) uses the file.

Is there a way to always be sure that Excel 2003 adjusts the row height?

Thanks,
Ray

Hi,

If you have merged cells, all bets are off, and MANY Excel features are rendered useless by merging cells.

Skip,

There is no merging.
This is the formula that picks up the data.

=IF(ISERROR(MATCH($A3,$A$101:$A$12601,0))=TRUE,"-",INDEX(K$101:K$12601,MATCH($A3,$A$101:$A$12601,0)))

The user enters the "Work Order Number" in Cel A3.

The cell where the data is (in this case H3) is wrapped but not merged.

So are you saying that executing an AutoFit on the rows in this sheet does NOT work in 2003?

No. You can execute the autofit and it will work.

I was wondering if there was a way Excel would always autofit the rows so the user would not have to perform this step prior to printing.

Just execute it on an appropriate event.

I understand what you are saying.

This is not something I have done before, but I will figure it out (good thing to learn).

Thanks for your help.

Take a look at the Workbook_Open event or the Workbook_BeforePrint event.
