I have the following 2 issues on Outlook 2002 and 2003. When I start to type in a name in the To field, Outlook tries to fill it in. Where is this list located and can it be edited? There are some email addresses listed that have been changed or don't exist anymore and things keep accidentally going to the wrong person/address.

If it does autofill in the name, sometimes when I click on Send, it then prompts me with a message whether to add the contact, then give an error. If it autofilled in the name, why would it prompt to add?

Anyone else having these issues?

I searched my entire hard drive and cannot locate a *.NK2 file. I just started to use Outlook 2003 locally (was using Outlook 2002 via citrix). How does my local copy get all the nicknames if this is supposed to be stored in a local file?

I searched our terminal server and these file types are not found either.

Did you include hidden & system files in your search? It should be there...For the machine that I'm currently at (Outlook 2002 & Windows XP clean installed), the file name is Outlook.nk2 and it's found at C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook and 'Application Data' is a hidden folder.

Hi all,

I have this problem too. Recently, I acquired a new machine and I tried to export all my email addresses to a file for easy transport to the new machine. I just do not know where the file is located. Can anyone help?

If you are trying to export your address book so that it can be used on another machine, that is in no way related to this thread. Start a new thread that contains the problem and what mail client you are using and someone will answer.
